WHo We Are

We are a mother-daughter team brought together by shared obsessions: Asian cuisine and the pursuit of the perfect flavor. For us, food and drink have always been our primary language of connection. Whether we are traveling, exploring local spots, or experimenting in our own kitchen, our days are defined by what we’re eating and what we’re drinking.

The Meaning Behind "Lucky Red"

People often ask us why we chose our name. For us, Lucky Red isn't just a brand—it’s a reflection of how we see the world.

The Power of Optimism
As a mother and daughter, we are firm believers in the power of a growth mindset. We are naturally optimistic people who believe that "luck" is something you create through passion and perspective. We wanted to build a business that carries that same energy, where every guest feels that sense of possibility and warmth the moment they step up to our counter.

Symbolism in Every Detail
Our name and colors are deeply rooted in Asian culture, where red and gold are the ultimate symbols of luck, joy, and prosperity. We chose a deep, vibrant red because it’s a color we’ve always loved—it’s bold, energetic, and full of life!

The Magic of Stall 7
When we were looking for a home in the Eustis Market, we landed in Stall 7. In many cultures, seven is the number of luck and completeness. We didn’t see this as a coincidence; we saw it as a sign that we were exactly where we were meant to be.

Our goal is for that "luck" to be contagious. We want you to walk away from Stall 7 not just with a high-quality drink or a delicious bowl, but with a little bit of that Lucky Red optimism to carry through the rest of your day.

Why choose Lucky Red?

We believe that high-quality experiences shouldn't be intimidating or be hard to find. We created Lucky Red to bring a piece of authentic Asian culture to the heart of Eustis. Our ceremonial matcha is exclusively imported from the birthplace of matcha (Zhecheng, China). It is vibrant, authentic, and served exactly how it was meant to be—with intention and skill. Unlike the mass-produced, overly sweetened "matcha" found at large-chain cafes, we provide the real thing.

From our hand-whisked specialty matcha lattes to our uniquely crafted Asian rice bowls, we are sharing the flavors that we love most with a community we care about.

Welcome to our stall. We can't wait to serve you.

Kenia tran

Co-founder and culinary specialist

A smiling young woman with long hair stands on a balcony with a city skyline at night in the background. The city is lit up with numerous windows and colorful lights.

Kenia Tran was born in the Dominican Republic and studied accounting, but her passions have always extended far beyond numbers. She has a deep love for fashion, design, and revamping pieces through sewing, bringing creativity into everything she touches. Known for her energy and warmth, Kenia lights up any room with her love for music, dancing, cooking delicious food, and (especially) coffee. Her presence brings both vibrance and authenticity to the heart of Lucky Red.

Kenia is the engine behind our food. While she’s a coffee lover at heart, she’s been "matcha-converted" by Kentrie and now starts her day with a whisked bowl of her own. With over 20 years of experience Vietnamese-inspired cooking within her family, Kenia has developed a unique style of Asian cuisine that honors tradition while adding her own modern twist. Her rice bowls are a reflection of two decades of perfecting flavors that are fresh.

Kentrie tran

Co-founder and matcha specialist

Kentrie Tran was born and raised in Orlando and is proud to be half Dominican and half Vietnamese. As an only child, she grew up especially close with her mom—who is also her best friend and now business partner. She studied Computer Science at Columbia University, an Ivy League university in New York City, blending analytical thinking with a deep love for creativity, art, and entrepreneurship.

Kentrie’s journey with matcha began long before it was a trend. During the quiet of 2020, she discovered that the ritual of whisking authentic matcha was a powerful antidote to the weight of depression. It became a daily necessity—a hobby that turned into a talent. After studying for four years at Columbia University in NYC, Kentrie grew accustomed to a sophisticated cafe culture that prioritized quality over convenience. Returning to Lake County, she realized the "matcha desert" needed an oasis. She’s here to prove that great-quality matcha lattes are nothing like the overly processed, mass-produced versions found at the big chains.
